These virtual group medical visits combine physician-guided education with adaptable movement in a supportive setting. Sessions may address strength, balance, fall prevention, hip and core stability, vestibular symptoms, fatigue, pain, and mind-body strategies. Every exercise can be modified to your abilities and medical needs.
New patients begin with a brief virtual intake with Dr. Halbeisen to review medical history and establish care. Registered participants receive a Zoom link by email before each visit. Medicare is billed directly for eligible visits in accordance with Medicare requirements.
Everything you need to know before joining Movement Is Medicine.
A group medical visit is a scheduled medical appointment in which several established patients meet with Dr. Halbeisen together by secure Zoom. Each visit combines physician-led education, guided discussion, and adaptable movement. The group format complements—not replaces—the individual care you receive from your healthcare team.
Each 45-minute visit may include a brief check-in, physician-guided education, group discussion, questions, and movement focused on strength, balance, mobility, fall prevention, cardiovascular fitness, pain, fatigue, or other health concerns. Exercises are adapted to each participant’s abilities and medical needs. Concerns that require a private discussion may be addressed separately.
Movement Is Medicine is a medical visit—not a general fitness class. Dr. Halbeisen considers your medical history, symptoms, function, and goals while providing education and movement guidance. Participation is individualized, and not every exercise is appropriate for every person.
These visits may be helpful for people who want medically informed support with strength, balance, mobility, fall prevention, chronic pain, fatigue, vestibular symptoms, recovery, or maintaining function over time. A brief intake helps Dr. Halbeisen determine whether the group format is appropriate for your needs.
Participants are expected to join from a private location and respect the confidentiality of everyone in the group. Because other patients are present, you decide what you feel comfortable sharing. Personal concerns that are not appropriate for the group may be discussed separately with Dr. Halbeisen.
These are medical visits. Dr. Halbeisen bills Medicare directly for medically necessary, eligible services. Standard Medicare deductibles or coinsurance may apply. Coverage and patient responsibility are determined by Medicare and cannot be guaranteed in advance.
New patients begin by scheduling a brief virtual group-medical-visit intake with Dr. Halbeisen. During that appointment, she reviews your medical history, discusses your goals, and determines whether the group is a good fit. Registered participants receive the secure Zoom link by email before each visit.
