Private Physician Care in Rancho Santa Fe

For people who want to be deeply known—not managed through brief, disconnected visits.

A Physician Who Sees the Whole Picture

When health becomes complex, fragmented care can leave you without anyone responsible for the full picture. This practice offers thoughtful, physician-led care centered on understanding you over time—your health, priorities, function, and the life you want to preserve.

About Dr. Halbeisen

Dr. Anna Halbeisen is board-certified in emergency medicine, sports medicine, and neuromusculoskeletal medicine/osteopathic manipulative medicine. This unusual combination allows her to connect complex medical decision-making with hands-on care, movement, function, and long-term quality of life. She has served on faculty at UC Irvine and UC San Diego and previously cared for Big Ten athletes and Michigan State’s 2014 Rose Bowl championship team. Her work is grounded in careful listening, practical judgment, and an understanding of the whole person.

Private Membership | $6,000 per month

Membership creates an ongoing relationship with a physician who knows you well and can help lead the full picture of your care. The model emphasizes enhanced access, thoughtful communication, care coordination, medical advocacy, and unhurried decision-making. When clinically appropriate, medical care may also include in-home evaluation and hands-on osteopathic treatment. Private medical care may complement established primary and specialty care and does not replace emergency care or services that require another specialist’s expertise.

Who This Is For

This practice is a strong fit for people who want more than traditional medical care.

• You want to stay strong, mobile, and confident as you age

• You are navigating new or complex health concerns and want clarity and guidance

• You are recovering from injury or dealing with persistent pain and want a hands-on, whole-picture approach

• You are supporting an aging parent and want thoughtful oversight and advocacy

• You value comfort, clarity, and aligned decision-making at any stage of health

What This Care Focuses On

Whole-Body Osteopathic Care

Osteopathic care views the body as an integrated whole. Attention is given to structure, movement, nervous-system regulation, and the body’s capacity for balance and comfort—not only isolated symptoms or diagnoses.

Whole-Picture Medical Evaluation

Rather than evaluating symptoms in isolation, visits consider how medical conditions, medications, biomechanics, function, lifestyle, and prior recommendations interact. Care begins with careful listening, a comprehensive physician assessment, and an osteopathic examination when appropriate.

Unhurried, Relationship-Based Care

Appointments are intentionally unhurried, allowing time for thoughtful evaluation, discussion, and hands-on osteopathic treatment when appropriate. Care grows from a continuous physician-patient relationship rather than isolated, problem-focused visits.

Thoughtful Care Coordination & Medical Advocacy

Modern healthcare can leave patients and families responsible for reconciling multiple specialists, tests, medications, and recommendations. Dr. Halbeisen helps interpret and prioritize those recommendations, communicate with the people involved when appropriate, and align decisions with the patient’s goals, values, and stage of life. The goal is not more care—it is the right care, thoughtfully coordinated.

Care Through a Palliative Lens (When Appropriate)

At some stages of life, the priority may shift from cure to comfort, dignity, and peace. Care can support symptom relief, functional comfort, emotional well-being, and decisions that reduce suffering without adding unnecessary burden.

Next Steps

Membership is intentionally limited. The first step is a private conversation to determine whether the relationship, needs, and expectations are a strong mutual fit.

Uncertain Whether Membership Is the Right Starting Point?

For people who need immediate physician review and coordination but are not ready to begin an ongoing membership, the $1,500 Physician Deep Dive offers a focused one-week starting point. It can stand alone, or it can help determine whether ongoing private medical care would be useful and whether the relationship is a good mutual fit.
